We Are What We Do | Wearewhatwedo.org

The idea started in East London by a community worker of 25 years. He believed that it was time to find new ways to create change in society and wanted to create a space where people could come together to make that happen.

This site reaches out to all ages and focuses on the small things we can do everyday that can add up to make a really big difference. The current campaign is 'Getting generations to hang out together'. They list 10 simple ways to get generations hanging out together like 'teach your grandma to text' and 'pass down a family recipe'. The topics and activities are current, relevant, and, like the rest of the website, offer lots of suggestions to begin making a positive impact in daily life. There is a running count of how many people have done activities and how many times they have been done. This really shows how something small done by a large group of people becomes something bigger than itself.

The site also offers suggestions for what you can do at school and work to create positive change. They even have a store and perusing the US section of the store I found the book "Change the World for 10 Bucks" that gives tons of suggestions for making change that are all under 10 bucks (dollars).

Joining is easy from their website and you can create a personal page, upload photos and videos, and design and 'action tracker' to keep tabs on your projects.

This site is addicting and can be a great beginning, middle, and end to any Mosaic project.
