In 2012 Dr. Ken Coates approached CISV Canada about conducting a survey on the impact of CISV on Canadians. Dr. Coates is the Canada Research Chair in Regional Innovation at the University of Saskatchewan’s Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. He’s also a CISV parent!
He and Dr. Carin Holroyd, also from USask, have the support of CISV Canada and CISV International (who are also interested in the survey results). Dr. Coates and Dr. Holroyd would like a wide variety of CISVers to participate in the survey:
- adult leaders
- program folks
- organizational members at the chapter, national and international level.
They will contact a smaller number of respondents for interviews (in person or via Skype), chosen to cover the country's various chapters, the decades of CISV's operations in Canada and the various functions or methods of engagement within CISV.
Please take the time to complete the survey! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MPWFKJT
They would also appreciate receiving copies of any written material, photographs, pamphlets, etc. that bear on the history and evolution of CISV. If you are able and willing to provide such documents, please contact Dr. Coates directly at the address listed on the survey.
