The final title of the project is: "The promotion of intercultural mediation for dialogue and peace, involving children's and teenagers".

The goal of the research is to observer the conditions of a pacific conflict management thought dialogue and intercultural mediation. The idea is to observer the conditions which allow the dialogue as mean of mediation and understanding, without that any parts will be dominated. The results of different mediation systems will than be evaluated.

The team completed the first phase of the project which included:

The discussion and analysis of the theoretical and methodical approaches
2. The creation of the set of situations to be considered
The creation of the research tools and their translation to English
Technical agreements regarding the implementation of the research including the privacy issues The researchers than participated to the National Leaders and Staff Training of CISV Italy and to the meetings for preparations of the different villages they would have been involved to.

From the mid of July when the camps started the second phase of the project has been initiated. The research is being carried on in the four Italian villages of Gorizia, Milano, Roma, Modena and in the 2 summer camps of Trento e Padova. This phase consists in the acquisition of the material during the length of the camps (all the 4 villages are 21 days villages). The researchers are part of the staff group in all the camps and so integrated with the camp life. Their main activity is the videotaping of the main activities or the ones more interesting in relation to the research objectives, group interviews with children/teenagers/leaders and the collections of questionnaires at the beginning and at the end of the camps.
