How to use the Training Curriculum

Training is a highly important part of the Mosaic programme, and we want to ensure that training not only happens, but that it happens well. The quality of Mosaic projects around the world depends on the quality of training that has been given.

We provide this Training Curriculum for two main reasons. The first is that we want to make it as easy as possible for our pool of trainers to access all the training modules, resources and background documents they might need to run a successful First Time Visit training. The second is that we want to ensure a level of harmonisation between all of our trainings, so that they all cover the relevant topics, and they cover them accurately.

This is why we provide the Mosaic Training Curriculum. A curriculum is a collection of subjects to be learnt – and this collection of resources covers all the major subjects of the Mosaic training school. Please refer to these files every time you’re preparing to run a training, and use them as a guide. You may, of course, use your own approaches and methods to train for Mosaic, just as long as you seek to cover all of these topics and to deliver the Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge which are the objectives for each subject.

If you do make your own training method we’d love for you to make it into a Training “Lego” block and send it to us. You can find examples of other Legos on this page. Please send all completed Legos to Ico.
