FAQ - Why do we need an approval?

For several reasons, and without trying to judge anyone for the hard work put into a Project. T he first one is that Mosaic is a new framework for CISV Programmes at local level. It has many differences from what the chapters were used to. The International Mosaic Committee considers that for the implementation of this Programme to be really successful, misunderstandings and misconceptions must be avoided from the beginning.

For this reason, a very important follow up system was created, that will guarantee that all Mosaic Projects will be planned according to the goals and characteristics of the programme. This follow up process includes the approval of all planned Mosaic Projects.

Other reason is that we want to keep all relevant information about each of the projects to serve as:

·         Resource to help planning other projects on the future (Mosaic Projects Database)

·      To help CISV, as an organisation, to be aware of which and what has been done under the name of its programmes worldwide. This is very important for fundraising purposes.

Approval is not the final goal of a Project or like passing an exam; it’s a way in which we want to give a concrete shape to the Programme.
