them complete high school and continue to build their personal life
Camino Unido, one of their programmes, works with youth in their last
high school year, not only by helping them build their personal life
project but also by encouraging them to become community leaders who
will act as agents of change in their communities.
Youth who grow up in under-privileged environments can have a really low
frustration and tolerance thresholds. This project worked to provide
participants with the attitudes, skills and knowledge that would ensure
their success in this year’s community projects. We planned a one-day
workshop that would help them gain these attitudes, skills and

chance to help them start planning their community project. During
