Project Description

Participants in this IPP will engage with migrant domestic workers, as well as Syrian and Palestinian refugees, planning activities to help develop coping mechanisms and a skill set that supports integration into society.

The partner organization, Caritas International, serves the poor to promote charity and justice throughout the world. Through Caritas Lebanon’s Migrants Centre, they provide a range of humanitarian assistance to migrants.

Participants will explore the theme of migration both through activities organized by Caritas, and through the lens of the migrant domestic workers and refugees themselves. They will learn about their struggle from living conditions, discrimination, work environment and racism. There will be an additional focus on Syrian and Palestinian refugee issues in the Levant.
