Educational Content Area
Participants in this IPP will support local families interested in discovering new, healthy and sustainable ways of eating in order to improve their quality of life. Participants will develop a short term action based on the community’s needs. They will also learn how to make hydroponic gardens, and harvest and cook native seeds in order to get maximum nutritional value.
The partner organization, Fundación Alfonso Ponce Archila, works to raise the quality of life of economically disadvantaged communities, through the provision of basic healthcare,
In order to understand the needs of the local community, participants will join the daily activities of the partner, take part in workshops, and develop positive communication and listening skills. Participants will consider national health concerns from their own country and identify responses to the situation that they find particularly creative, interesting or inspiring. They will also have the opportunity to learn about and share traditions and ways of living.
Participants should ideally:
- Able to communicate in non-verbal ways.
- Be interested in healthy and sustainable living.
- Be willing to act to preserve the environment.
